Welcome to the Halifax-Yarmouth Diocesan CWL Website

Thankyou for visiting the Halifax-Yarmouth Diocesan Cathollic Women's League (CWL) Council website.  We hope that it serves as a useful resource for our members and highlights the wide varity of faith, leadership and fellowship opportunities available in the CWL.

Parish council CWL members are encouraged to use this website to become more informed, connect with resources and share their celebrations, activities and events with other CWL members.  Just use the contact form on this website or connect with the Halifax-Yarmouth webite administrator, Diocesan President or Communications chairperson regarding your wishes and needs for posting to the website.

Who are we?

We are a national organization of 60,000 women officially recognized by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB).  The CWL is affiliated with the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organizations (WUCWO), who holds membership in the conference of International Catholic Organizations (ICO) and has consultative status with agencies of the United Nations.

How do I join?

All women, age 16 and up, are invited to take out membership in the Catholic Women’s League of Canada through parishes that have CWL councils. We offer both regular memberships for Catholic women, and Associate memberships for non-Catholics.
